1. The Service

The MAM Media Library (the "Platform") is provided by Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University for storing, managing and playing teaching media and for course integration with Learning Mall Core. By using the Platform you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts and Access

• Platform accounts are linked to the university identity system and are for staff, students and authorised users only;
• Keep your credentials safe — actions performed under your account are attributed to you;
• Basic information (name, display name, email) is managed centrally by the university and cannot be changed by users.

3. Acceptable Content

• Uploaded content should relate to teaching, research or campus activities, and you are responsible for its legality;
• Do not upload content that infringes copyright, portrait or privacy rights, or that violates laws and regulations;
• Before uploading classroom or event recordings featuring others, ensure the necessary permissions have been obtained in line with university policy;
• Administrators may take down or delete non-compliant content; all such actions are audited.

4. Intellectual Property

Copyright in uploaded content remains with you or the original rights holder. To operate the service, you grant the Platform the right to store and transcode content, generate thumbnails and subtitles, and distribute it within the scope you configure (personal, course, public library or share links).

5. Sharing and External Links

When sharing content externally via share links, you are responsible for judging the appropriate audience. Password protection or expiry dates do not transfer your responsibility for content compliance. The Platform may disable share links that pose risks.

6. Availability and Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is". For interruptions caused by maintenance, upgrades or force majeure, the university will endeavour to give advance notice and restore service promptly, but is not liable for indirect losses. Please keep your own backups of important material.

7. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as the service evolves and will be published on this page. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
